Steel is a significant component of buildings, infrastructure, tools, ships, cars, machines, and appliances across the globe. 

In comparison to steel, aluminium also melts at relatively low temperatures, which makes it particularly suitable for recycling. Automobiles, aeroplanes, boats, bikes, PCs, cookware, gutters, siding, and electrical wiring all contain recycled aluminium.

Of all the metals found at your home, scrap yards demand copper the most. It is likely you have copper lying around, from old electrical appliances or old plumbing pipes, which you can turn into scrap.
